Nach fünf Festivaltagen, 23 Kurzfilmen im Wettbewerb um den SHIVERS Shorts Award und 11 brandaktuellen Langfilmen im Rennen um den Publikumspreis steht nun der Gewinner des Kurzfilmwettbewerbs fest!
Preisträger des ersten SHIVERS Shorts Award ist Fredrik S. Hanas SISTER HELL. Die Jury begründet dies wie folgt:
„Our winner is SISTER HELL. This film placed us in a scenario we thought was familiar yet it constantly surprised, it entertained us and already feels like a cult classic. We awarded this film the prize as we really want it to be seen, to find its audience and to be the winner of the first Shivers film festival!!“
Darüberhinaus sprach die Jury ein „Special Mention“ aus für den französischen Beitrag TARIM LE BRAVE CONTRE LES MILLE ET UN EFFETS von Guillaume Rieu. Ihre Begründung:
„Our special mention goes to TARIM LE BRAVE. It was SO close to winning the award. We loved how it deconstructed and celebrated classic adventure movies. It is funny, so beautifully made, clever in how it toys with cliches presenting them in a new, entertaining and swashbuckling way. Every single element was perfectly executed! We all loved this film and wish it every success.“
